This is about five minutes from my dorm and just across the river from the center of Oñati. I believe it is an old monastery.

The Mondragon Cooperative Corporation (MCC) is the world's foremost example of advanced industrial cooperatives. Located in the Basque region of Spain, it is comprised of more than 120 cooperatives with 82,000+ workers and $30 Billion in total assets. To learn more about this unique model I decided to get an MBA at the University of Mondragon in Onati, Spain. The monastery is Bidaurreta, and has one of the most impresives barroque altar pieces i haver ever seen. Get into the church next time, you'll enjoy it.
Ah, you're not the first guy from USA who lives in Oñati, before you a famouse one lived here in the 70's he is William Peterson (Gil Grissom in CSI Las Vegas).
